The hotel’s strategic location allows our guests to fully enjoy the many attractions of Gressoney La Trinité. Athletes and sport enthusiasts will have plenty of options to choose from whether they are experiencing Valle d’Aosta in winter or summer.
From day trips to relaxing hikes, but even exciting ski tracks: there are countless ways to experience our enchanting natural environments.
Also nearby: a golf course (within 5 Km), tennis courts (within 0.5 Km), gym (within 5 Km), fishing (within 0.5 Km), seasonal indoor pool (within 5 Km) and squash courts (within 5 Km).


To experience Gressoney La Trinité in winter is to experience it at its most beautiful. At the forefront are the Monterosa Ski facilities, a real skiing paradise that spans three valleys (Gressoney, Ayas and Alagna), for a total surface area of 200 Km. This is one of the alp’s most prestigious ski facilities: here you will find downhill skiing and snowboarding tracks for every level of expertise, suitable for all types of skiers, from beginners to athletes. Gressoney’s ski schools have courses available for every level, while thrill seekers can contact the alpine guides to do some freeride or even practice some heliski in utmost safety.
For those who love cross-country skiing there are a number of tracks that offer majestic views.Skiing (both cross-country and downhill) and snowboarding are not the only two options: the valley has a range of other interesting activities such as ski mountaineering, snowshoe trekking, Nordic walking and ice climbing.


In summer, the whole area dons its brightest and most beautiful colours, and a wide range of new sports and recreational activities for the whole family become available. The Gressoney La Trinitè valley becomes the base station for a number of hikes and climbs to the highest peaks of Monte Rosa. Gressoney is also home to a number of other sports: MTB, rock climbing, golf, mountaineering, tennis, Nordic walking, fishing and horseback riding.

For the little ones

Gressoney La Trinitè dedicates particular attention to its young visitors. Thanks to the collaboration between the Gressoney Monterosa Tourist Consortium and the Gressoney Monterosa Ski School, the new Kinderheim project “SNOWFLAKE” is born. Located in Loc. Staffal, 14, it is a space reserved for boys and girls aged two and over.

Thanks to the presence of qualified educators, Kinderheim offers a socio-educational-recreational service, able to provide flexible and differentiated solutions based on the needs of families who decide to come and spend their holidays in the ancient village. The little ones can thus learn and have fun with games, smiles, activities in the snow and make new friends.

Gressoney La Trinitè pays special attention to its youngest visitors. The Gressoney Monterosa Tourism Consortium and the Gressoney Monterosa Ski School have just developed the new Kinderheim “FIOCCO DI NEVE (snowflake) project. Located at Loc. Staffal, 14, this is the perfect place for children aged two and up.

Thanks to its qualified teachers, Kinderheim offers social-educational-recreational services, and can offer flexible and customized solutions based on the needs of the families who are spending their holidays in our old medieval town. Children will learn, have fun and make friends, with games, smiles and activities on the snow.

Play Golf in Gressoney

If you are a lover of this sport and want to enjoy an unparalleled view, the Gressoney Monte Rosa Golf Course is the one for you! Thanks to the excellent climate and excellent exposure, this field is open from the 1st of June until the end of September.

The entire route, located 200 meters beyond the center of Gressoney Saint Jean, is characterized by truly characteristic views and glimpses. The course, expanded in 2018 from 9 to 12 holes while maintaining the natural setting, offers a view that varies with each hole, giving you the opportunity to see the impetuous stream Lys, small woods and a spectacular waterfall located behind Hole 7.

Furthermore, the Hotel Scoiattolo, as a hotel affiliated with the Gressoney Monte Rosa Golf Course, offers its guests some vouchers for free or discounted play according to the periods and the season.

E-Bike excursions

The Gressoney Monterosa Tourist Consortium, in collaboration with Monterosa Experience, organizes weekly group E-Bike outings accompanied by expert Mountain Bike guides throughout the summer of 2021.

Every Wednesday, for our guests, there is a completely free excursion lasting about 3 hours.
