Gressoney La Trinité is the last town in the Lys valley, nestled in the majestic chain of Monte Rosa, away from traffic and stress, away from the noise of cars and the heat of the asphalt, surrounded by greenery and quiet nature.

The history of Gressoney is closely linked to the Walser community, a population of Germanic origin that came here at the end of the XIII century through the Teodulo Hill. Perhaps it was for their presence, and, certainly for the beauty of the place, the reasons why Queen Margherita of Savoy chose it as a place of the heart. Here she built a castle where she spent all her summers. Thanks to her presence, the valley had a strong tourist impulse. This vocation has developed over the decades to this day, without impacting the landscape.

Winter Activities

In winter Gressoney turns into a large white circus where you can slide on the almost two hundred km of slopes of Monterosaski, or in the exciting off-piste accompanied by local guides, or you can opt to go cross-country skiing, on whose rings were formed Olympic champions of yesterday and today. For the more adventurous there is climbing on ice falls and for the youngest (and not only) the opportunity to juggle on the ice rinks.
