Lo Scoiattolo Hotel is not just a place where to stay, but a conscious experience of hospitality, where every detail is designed to respect the environment, enhance the territory and offer our guests authentic and sustainable holiday. We believe that tourism has a responsibility: not only to welcome, but to protect and enrich the place that hosts us. That’s why, for more than a year now, we have been following a structured and concrete path towards sustainability, transforming our daily choices into a tangible commitment to the planet and the community.
A concrete commitment to a better future
Our sustainability journey translates into concrete actions that make the difference, below are some of the actions we have implemented recently.
Waste reduction and responsible waste management
We have introduced separate waste collection in all communal area and rooms, making it easier to separate materials for a more efficient recycling.
Fully renewable energy
We have chosen to run exclusively on electricity from renewable sources, reducing our carbon footprint.
Eliminating single use plastics
We have replaced disposable bottles with refillable dispenser in the bathrooms, minimized in-room amenities by leaving them available on request at the reception, decreasing the unnecessary consumption and the environmental impact. In addition, our Hotel installed a detergent dispenser system that allows the refilling containers, when possible biodegradables, for cleaning, and by purchasing of eco-friendly detergents in bulks we further help to reduce the use of plastic.
Conscious purchasing choices
We have reviewed our supply contracts, carefully selecting products certified for their environmental and ethical sustainability, favouring local producers and eco-friendly materials.

Training and development for our staff
Sustainability is a value that is built day by day, which is why we invest in the ongoing training of our Team so that they can pass on a culture of responsible hospitality to our guests.
A strong bond with the territory and the community
Our commitment goes beyond the Hotel walls: we collaborate with the local Primary School on environmental education projects, to raise the awareness of the new generations about protecting the territory and enhancing its natural and cultural resources.
